Answer this question honestly: ‘Are you currently overloaded to the point where you just don’t want to do anything?’ If so, let’s discuss this pressing issue.
There is one very important nuance to this overload, so it would be wise to answer one question honestly: does all this enormous workload really bring me closer to my goal, or is all this spinning like a squirrel in a wheel just a colourful backdrop to the show ‘Look how extremely busy I am!’?
Real productivity and its fierce imitation are two very different things, and it is crucial to grasp this difference. And not just grasp it, but also have the strength to admit to yourself that you are merely imitating busyness, if that is the case. Yes, this imitation may bring some relief, but it will only be temporary. Real productivity, on the other hand, gives us a deep sense of inner satisfaction from the subconscious joy of moving in the right direction, consciously chosen by you.
An important point is that you must take time to rest, and you must consciously allow yourself to do so. In other words, if you allow yourself to stop and rest for a while – even for quite a long time – while moving towards your goal, you should definitely not blame yourself for this temporary pause. On the contrary, only conscious, peaceful rest, unclouded by destructive feelings of guilt, will not only fill us with vigour and optimism, but also give us strength for further achievements on the way to our goal.
