Without a product as commonplace as salt, food is not food at all, but simply bland drivel. Although we all know that we should eat as little of this white, granular mineral as possible and try not to overdo it, as excessive consumption can have unpleasant consequences for our bodies.
I solved this problem for myself quite simply – I gave up table salt entirely, replacing it with healthy Himalayan salt. Firstly, it doesn’t retain fluid in the tissues like ordinary table salt, and what’s more, it restores the body’s water-salt balance and helps maintain it. This pink wonder also improves digestion and blood circulation, relieves pain, flushes toxins from the body and, on top of all that, strengthens the skeletal system and boosts our immune system. As they say – it’s both tasty and incredibly healthy! The price is a bit steep, mind you, but it’s worth it.
Occasionally, I buy both sea salt and black Himalayan salt. Sea salt also has a number of benefits, but they are nowhere near as good as those of black Himalayan salt, which contains hydrogen sulphide that lowers blood pressure and has a beneficial effect on the gastrointestinal tract. Yes, of course, the presence of hydrogen in black salt does have some effect on the taste and, in particular, the smell of the product – it really is quite distinctive – but in small doses, and especially when combined with pink salt, everything falls into place.
So here’s my advice: if you’re still sticking to the old ways and buying cheap table salt, you need to change your approach straight away and switch to sea salt – or better still, Himalayan salt – and you won’t have to wait long to see the benefits.
